YSP 2018

In 2019 we hosted our second YSP with the addition of a work experience programme. Held at the Project Hope Community Centre we were able to amass 35 participants ranging from the ages of 16 to 21. The workshops included money management, nutritional advice, public speaking, and the pairing of students with professionals for career advice. We were also able to engage participants in group discussions on the impact of the newly established UWI Campus on island alongside the Importance of Intraregional travel and the need for lowered travel taxes within CARICOM states.

Volunteerism and service was not left out, as students gave their time to assist at the St. John’s Hospice and cleaned up the Pensioners Beach. YSP 2019 came to a close with the work experience programme, placing participants in various job profiles for 3-5 days.
